As Chief Compliance Officer of McDonald Partners, Jonathan Hartzler believes that wealth management clients deserve the confidence that comes from a thoughtful and comprehensive Compliance program. He is responsible for overseeing both the firm’s Brokerage and Advisory business and ensuring that the firm meets or exceeds the standards set forth by the SEC, FINRA and other regulators.
Prior to joining McDonald Partners, Jonathan worked in IT, transitioning to the Financial Sector in 2006, when he earned an MBA and joined a sell-side equity research firm. Past positions in the Financial Sector also include advisory and corporate finance.
In addition to his MBA (Concentration in Finance) from Case Weatherhead School of Management, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Eastern Mennonite University, is a CFA Charterholder and is Series 7, 24, 63, 86/87 and S99TO registered.
He resides in Solon Ohio with his wife and two daughters. He can sometimes be found in the Cleveland Metroparks and the Cuyahoga Valley National Park where he enjoys hiking.
