Michelle Hegarty has been in the financial services industry for over thirty years and joined McDonald Partners as Managing Director in 2012. As an advisor, Michelle counsels a wide variety of clients, specializing in multi-generational families, executives and business owners. She is licensed in Series 7, 63 and 66.
Starting out of college with Roulston & Company, Michelle has worked in many aspects of asset management including Institutional Trading at Kidder Peabody (now UBS) and Portfolio Management at Hickory Investment Advisors (now Fairport Asset Management). Joining McDonald & Company in 1992, Michelle has since focused her career in helping individuals, families and fiduciaries grow their assets with a focus on investment policy, strategy and portfolio management.
Michelle is a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. She is a former Board member and Treasurer of both The Federation for Community Planning and The Junior League of Cleveland.
Outside of her professional career, Michelle is an avid equestrian and has shown her horses all over the country in both hunter and jumper competitions. Her current non-profit focus is providing more direct service by fostering homeless dogs and actively volunteering at organizations including the Geauga Humane Rescue Village and the Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter.
