Tim A R. Hanson, CFP^®, CIMA^®, is the Chief Operating Officer of McDonald Partners and a senior leader of the firm with over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. His career reflects continuity and growth, shaped by time spent building, scaling, and refining how advice is delivered. He began his career at McDonald Partners, learning the business from the ground up and developing a deep appreciation for client care, operational excellence, and the behind-the-scenes processes that support high-quality advice.

Tim later joined Facet Wealth, where he worked inside a fast-growing fintech startup and helped deliver advice at scale within a technology-first model. There, he gained experience building repeatable planning processes, integrating digital tools into client relationships, and operating in an environment that demanded clarity, efficiency, and continuous improvement. He returned to McDonald Partners as Chief Operating Officer, bringing a broader perspective that blends institutional standards with the adaptability learned in fintech.

A Certified Financial Planner™ professional and Certified Investment Management Analyst^® through the Investments & Wealth Institute, Tim sets a high bar for planning quality and execution. He holds Series 7, 66, and SIE registrations, earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from Northern Arizona University, lives in Clarksville, Tennessee, and was born in 1989.
